Roll Call Club ("we", "us", "the Club") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What We Collect
From your application
- Full name
- Email address
- WhatsApp phone number
- Location in the UAE (city / emirate)
- Written responses to application questions
From payment processing
- Transaction confirmation and amount
- Payment date and method
- We do not store full payment card details — these are handled by our payment processors (Stripe, Tap Payments, Tabby)
During the challenge
- Your daily roll-call posts
- Screenshots, photos, or notes you choose to share
- Your statistics (completion %, streaks, shields earned, sick days used)
2. How We Use It
- To run the challenge (add you to the group, track stats, send updates)
- To send you challenge-related communication (welcome, milestones, alumni invites, future challenge openings)
- For anonymized aggregate statistics (e.g., "the group averaged 78% completion")
- To comply with UAE legal and accounting obligations
3. What We Don't Do
- We don't sell your data to anyone
- We don't share your personal information with third parties beyond what's necessary to run the service (payment processor, WhatsApp by definition)
- We don't use your roll-call content for marketing without explicit permission
- We don't profile, track, or analyze your behavior outside the challenge
4. Your Rights
Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL), you have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold on you
- Deletion: request deletion of your data (note: this may end your participation in active challenges and remove you from alumni records)
- Correction: ask us to correct any inaccurate data
- Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent for non-essential communication at any time
- Restriction: request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances
- Portability: request your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email info@rollcallclub.ae with the subject line "Privacy request". We aim to respond within 30 days.
5. How Long We Keep It
- Active member data: throughout your challenge participation
- Alumni records: retained while you remain in the alumni group
- Application data of non-accepted applicants: deleted after 90 days
- Payment records: retained for 5 years as required by UAE accounting law
- Email correspondence: retained for 2 years for support reference, then deleted
6. Third Parties We Share Data With
We only share your data with these third parties, and only what's strictly necessary:
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms): By participating in our WhatsApp group, you are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy practices. We share only your phone number with WhatsApp to add you to the group.
- Payment processors (Stripe, Tap Payments, Tabby): They process your payment and handle card data. Their own privacy policies apply to that interaction.
- Email provider: We use a standard email service to send transactional emails (receipts, confirmations).
- Beit Al Khair Society: Only if you opt into the knockout track and forfeit your deposit — in which case we share your name and donation amount with the charity for receipt purposes.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data:
- Application form data is held on encrypted services (Typeform / Tally)
- Member tracking data is held in password-protected files accessible only to the organizer
- Payment data is handled entirely by certified payment processors — we never receive your card details
- Email correspondence is held in a standard provider's encrypted servers
No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to reasonable industry-standard measures.
8. Cookies & Tracking on rollcallclub.ae
This website uses minimal tracking. We may use basic analytics to understand traffic (page views, referrer) but do not place advertising cookies or track individual users.
9. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers (e.g., WhatsApp/Meta, Stripe, email providers) may process data outside the UAE. By using our service, you consent to this transfer. We only use providers with reasonable data protection standards.
10. Children's Privacy
Roll Call Club is for adults 18 and over only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have done so, we will delete the data immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via the challenge group and Instagram. Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance.
